Riyadh, July 25, 2021, SPA -- Siraj Al Saleem, Saudi weightlifting team player, finished his participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, ranking fifth in the final standings of the 61-kg weightlifting competition after collecting 288 points in the competition that took place yesterday at the Tokyo International Forum in the presence of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Olympic Committee, and Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic Committee. In the shooting competition, Saeed Al-Mutairi scored 71 points out of 75, which represent the sum of three stages in the men’s skeet competition. Meanwhile, the Saudi Olympic football team lost the opportunity to qualify for the second stage after losing to Germany 3-2 as part of the fourth group competitions.
