Riyadh, Sep 19, 2020, SPA -- Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi took part in the meeting of the United Nations Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, held virtually on Friday, with participation of leading figures in the field of communications and information technology, from various governmental and private sectors, around the world. At the outset, Al-Tamimi lauded the revival witnessed in the sector of communications and IT, in the Kingdom, and efforts it exert as it is holding the current presidency of the G20, in terms of making at avail more opportunities for the digital world users, through pushing forward relating international files, in order to fill the digital gap and revive digital economy through using artificial intelligence and harness technology to confront Coronavirus pandemic. During the meeting, the participants discussed an array of important issues, including digitally-administered health and education as well as protection of children while using the internet, in addition to entrepreneurship.
