Saudi Arabia Takes Over G20 Presidency for 2020

Nagoya, Nov. 23, 2019, SPA -- Saudi Arabia took over the presidency of the G20 Group for the year of 2020 at a meeting of the G20 Foreign Ministers held here today. The Saudi delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah. During the meeting, Prince Faisal delivered a speech in which he thanked Japan for the leadership and success of the Group's work in 2019, and welcomed the receipt of the Kingdom's presidency of the G20 for 2020, stressing that the Kingdom has prepared a comprehensive and ambitious program upon the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the follow-up and direct supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. It is noteworthy that in his speech at the Osaka Summit in Japan last June, HRH the Crown Prince outlined the Kingdom's presidency program, which includes the most pressing issues and challenges facing the economic sectors in the future, in cooperation with the G20 countries.
