Canberra, 02 Shawwal,1438 AH, 26 June,2017 , SPA -- The head of Australian Federal Imams Council, Sheikh Shadi Al-Sulaiman, has condemned the criminal act to target the Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah. "Attempting to target the Holy Makkah, Holy Kaaba and Umrah performers in the month of fasting is a clear indication of Islam's innocence of terrorism and the groups that commit the most heinous crimes in its name," Sheikh Al-Sulaiman told Saudi Press Agency. He added that this crime is also a confirmation that Islam and Muslims are the most affected from them. Sheikh al-Sulaiman also praised the security forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which thwarted the wicked attempt and their efforts to preserve the security of the two Holy Mosques and the safety of pilgrims and Umrah performers ,asking Allah to protect the Kingdom, other Muslim countries and the world from the evils of terrorism and crimes that do not belong to any religion. -- SPA 15:40 LOCAL TIME 12:40 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w436409
