Riyadh, April 15, 2020, SPA -- Under the chairmanship of the chairman Supreme Council of the Judiciary, Sheikh Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Samani, the council hold its 18th meeting via virtual network with participating of the council's members. The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the judicial, including reformation of the Supreme Court after the Royal approval, the formation of new criminal and rights districts as well as the naming of the judges of those districts in accordance with the judicial regulation. The council approved to establish two commercial courts in Madinah and Abha. The council also discussed a mechanism of managing the current and upcoming phase of the courts, judges and cases in accordance with the accelerated developments of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In this regard, the council took a number of decisions. The Supreme Council of Judiciary also approved that 47 judges begin their tasks in a number of judges in addition to appointment of a number of judges. In a statement, Sheikh Mohammad bin Suleiman Al-Faiheed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Judiciary, said that the Council discussed all the issues on its agenda.
