Riyadh, Sha'ban 21, 1438, May 17, 2017, SPA -- The Ministerial Council of the GCC foreign ministers here today held its 143rd session. Secretary General of the GCC Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani said that the Ministerial Council discussed the topics to be presented to the 17th consultative meeting of the GCC leaders scheduled for Sunday 21 May 2017 in addition to the topics to be discussed at the summits to be hosted in Riyadh on May 21, 2017, during the visit of US President Donald Trump to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He said that the ministers discussed a number of topics and made the necessary recommendations in this regard to the GCC leaders in their consultative meeting. He added, "The ministers discussed the political, security and humanitarian situation in Yemen, especially the threat of a cholera epidemic in a number of Yemeni governorates, and decided to refer this issue to the Committee of Ministers of Health in the GCC countries urgently to send medical assistance to Yemen through coordination and cooperation with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief). --SPA 23:00 LOCAL TIME 20:00 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w406812
