Jeddah, Dhu-AlHijjah 28, 1437, September 29, 2016, SPA -- International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) of Muslim World League (MWL) has conducted 1200 surgeries to remove the cataract and implant lenses in the eyes for a number of women and men, including the elderly people in Puttalam, Sri Lanka, within its medical campaigns being run by the Organization in most of the poor countries in order to combat blindness disease that has become widespread in those countries. The Secretary-General of the Organization Ihsan bin Saleh Tayyib said that the Organization has dispatched a medical team to Sri Lanka including some consultants along with Saudi volunteers in this field to save these people from the disease, pointing out that the team uses sophisticated medical devices. --SPA 13:38 LOCAL TIME 10:38 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
