Arab Housing and Construction Ministers Council Starts its 33rd Session in Riyadh

Riyadh, Rabi'I 21, 1438, Dec 20, 2016, SPA -- The Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction headed by the Minister of Housing Majed bin Abdullah Al-Huqail began the activities of their 33rd session here today. The session was set to discuss the importance of strengthening partnership and activation of cooperation in the housing sector and to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of Arab countries and the development and organization of this sector. In his speech at the outset of the meeting, Minister Al-Hugail stressed that this session comes as part of a series of the previous sessions designed to deepen the bonds of fruitful and constructive cooperation among Arab countries, which are combined with Islam and Arabism, noting that the suitable housing is a top priority among all peoples. He said that "In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this interest began since the founding of this great entity by late founder King Abdulaziz Al Saud where he put the first blocks for the resettlement of the desert people and securing appropriate housing for them more than 80 years ago until this desert currently turns into villages and cities full of population, to which all the services have been extended, and in this auspicious era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ministry entered in housing projects and contracts with many local, Arab and international companies to take advantage of their expertise in this area".
