Yemeni army monitors more than 70 breaches of the ceasefire by coup militias in Taiz

Aden, 20 Safar,1438 AH, 20 November,2016 , SPA -- The Pacification Committee of the Yemeni army confirmed that it monitored more than 70 breaches by the coup militias of Al-Houthi and Saleh in Taiz province after moments of the truce announced by the Arab Coalition under the supervision of the United Nations and the sponsoring countries. The Committee said in a statement broadcasted last night by the official Yemeni News agency that the violations began in the first minutes of the start of the truce on Saturday afternoon from 12 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and included the shelling with heavy and medium weapons and sniping which wounded two civilians . It explained that the militias fired artillery and mortar shells at people's homes in Al-Salow District from their sites based in Al-Kadrah Bakhdair in addition to bombing Al-Tabadud Valley area, and the fall of mortar rounds and rockets in different neighborhoods in the city of Taiz. The breaches of militias of Al-Houthi and Saleh included other areas in the province of Taiz, especially the bombardment of the town of Asab Alshaobah in Al-Maafer, a hospital in the west of the province, and Berbacha residential neighborhood in the city of Taiz. -- SPA 12:55 LOCAL TIME 09:55 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w272753
