Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 21, 1437, September 22, 2016, SPA -- The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi said that the 86th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a memorable day recounted by the memory of the homeland and its citizens with praising Allah Almighty for bestowing upon this country the grace of unity and the elimination of the causes of division. On this occasion, Dr. Al-Toraifi said in a statement that this day represents the anniversary of the march of the unification of the Kingdom, which is considered of the grand heroic epics, as Allah Almighty helped King Abdulaziz to lead this epic which resulted in establishing this great entity on the basis of the tolerant religion and affection among citizens. He said that comprehensive developments have been achieved which made the homeland occupies a high status at Arab, Islamic and international levels, since the unification day of the Kingdom by late King Abdulaziz, and his sons after him until the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which is witnessing qualitative leaps in the areas of development and modernization that usher in more force and strength for this entity and further prosperity for citizens, noting that the most prominent evidence is Kingdom s vision 2030. The Minister of Culture and Information stressed that the Ministry of Culture and Information is awareness of its great responsibility towards such great entity with its history and heritage of civilization as a cradle of Arabs and Revelation of Islam, and is seeking to be the sincere mouthpiece expressing the values, aspirations and positions of this entity emanating from the Kingdom s information policy derived from the principles of the Islamic religion and serving the Kingdom s policy, its high interests and citizens.
