Organization of Islamic Cooperation Condemns Terrorist Attack on Police Convoy outside Kabul

Jeddah, Ramadan 27, 1437, July 02, 2016, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned, in the strongest terms, the terrorist attack that targeted a convoy of police personnel outside the capital of the Republic of Afghanistan, Kabul, on Thursday, 30th June 2016, leading to the death of at least forty police officers and injury of many others. In expressing his sadness over the incident, the OIC Secretary General, Iyad Amin Madani stated that the attack will not affect the resolve of the people and the government of the Republic of Afghanistan in their efforts to fight terrorism and unify the country. He said the scourge of terrorism confronting communities all over the globe must be eliminated. The Secretary General expressed his condolences to the Government of the Republic of Afghanistan and to the families of the victims, wishing the wounded a fast recovery.
