Crown Prince Presides over the 5th Meeting of the National Commission for Drug Control

Riyadh, Rabi'I 19, 1438, Dec 18, 2016, SPA -- The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, who is also the President of the National Narcotics Control Commission, reaffirmed the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the government, to combat everything that would cause harm to the citizenry and the resident, including efforts in the fight against drugs. This came during chairing here today the fifth meeting of the National Commission for Drug Control. He dismissed the drug phenomenon as the ugly phenomenon affecting religion, dignity, mind, soul and the money, thus, it must be faced with all our strength. The response to the phenomenon of drugs is a shared responsibility rests on the shoulders of all individuals and institutions of government and private sector, alike, the Crown Prince said, praising constructive efforts made by security and customs agencies in arresting smugglers and drug dealers, noting the role played by educational, social, health and media organizations, in educating society on the harmful effects of drugs, calling on everyone to unite efforts to sensitize society to be protected from its danger. -- SPA 20:27 LOCAL TIME 17:27 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w293192
