Brussels, Dhu-AlHijjah 17, 1437, September 18, 2016, SPA -- New NATO units for Poland and the Baltic states should be deployed starting in May, a spokesman for the military alliance said Sunday, according to dpa. NATO in June announced plans to deploy four battalions - around 4,000 soldiers - to Poland and the Baltic states as part of the alliance's response to Russia's actions in Ukraine. The eastern-most members of NATO have said that they feel threatened by Russia, which has been accused of violating international law by annexing the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. Moscow's support for separatists in eastern Ukraine has raised further concerns. --SPA 22:22 LOCAL TIME 19:22 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
