Riyadh, Shawwal 21, 1437, July 26, 2016, SPA -- Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Kingdom Dharrabuddin Gasemi and the accompanying delegation today paid a get-acquainted visit to King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works during which he met with the Executive Manager of the facility Maher Al-Hadhrawe. During the meeting, the ambassador was briefed on the services rendered by the center to a number of countries, benefiting scores of needy persons everywhere, particularly in Tajikistan where drought has hit vast areas of the country. For his part, the ambassador availed himself of the opportunity to convey the thanks and appreciation of the President of Tajikistan to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the humanitarian assistance offered by the center to drought-stricken people in Tajikistan, citing that the total amount of relief materials granted to the needy in Tajikistan by the center amounted to $10 million, including, in addition to direct handouts, technical support for Tajik Red Crescent, training for Tajik personnel on relief and safety works, and building of concrete barriers to prevent floods. --SPA 20:10 LOCAL TIME 17:10 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
