Moscow, Shawwal 21, 1437, July 26, 2016, SPA -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will meet in the Russian city of St Petersburg on August 9, the Kremlin said Tuesday, according to dpa. The agenda for the talks is expected to include many issues in rebuilding bilateral relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in comments carried by state news agency TASS. The meeting will be the first between Erdogan and Putin since Turkish forces shot down a Russian warplane on the Syrian border late last year. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek visited Moscow on Tuesday for a meeting with his Russian counterpart Arkady Dvorkovich. "We're committed to restoring economic and political ties," Simsek wrote on Twitter. --SPA 14:02 LOCAL TIME 11:02 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
