Hanover, Dhu-AlQa'dah 4, 1437, Aug 7, 2016, SPA -- A passenger plane en route to Turkey had to return to Bremen, Germany, this week because one of its engines caught fire after a bird got sucked into the turbine, airline Germania reported on Sunday. The incident occurred directly after take-off on Friday. Germania said the aeroplane was never at risk of crashing and that the passengers had never been in danger. Passengers reported seeing a flash of flame and hearing two bangs after the accident, dpa reported. There were 113 passengers on board at the time, along with seven crew members.
