Kathmandu, Dhu-AlQa'dah 01, 1437, August 04, 2016, SPA -- Maoist party leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal was sworn in as Nepal's new prime minister in a ceremony at the presidential palace on Thursday, dpa reported. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari swore Dahal in a day after he was elected to succeed outgoing premier KP Sharma Oli in a parliamentary vote. Dahal inducted five ministers to his cabinet, who were also sworn in at the ceremony. Two of the ministers are from Dahal's Unified Maoist party and two are from the Nepali Congress, the biggest party in parliament. Dahal is the country's 39th prime minister. His predecessor Oli stepped down last week ahead of a no-confidence vote in the parliament which he was expected to lose. --SPA 14:58 LOCAL TIME 11:58 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
