Valletta, Muharram 23, 1438, October 24, 2016, SPA -- Around five people are believed to have been killed when a military aircraft crashed on take-off from Malta on Monday, local media reported, according to dpa. Witnesses said the military plane from Luxembourg crashed near the runway soon after take-off at 7.10 am (0510 GMT) and subsequently burst into flames. A video purporting to show the aftermath of the crash showed a large fire with plumes of black smoke.
