The launch at 5:01 am Moscow time (0201 GMT) successfully put three satellites into interim orbit, a spokesman for the Russian space agency Roscosmos said, according to dpa. President Vladimir Putin travelled out to the far-eastern city of Blagoveshchensk to watch the launch originally scheduled for Wednesday, but which was then delayed by 24 hours.
