Geneva, Jumada II 3, 1437, Mar 12, 2016, SPA -- Mohammed Alloush, Syrian opposition senior negotiator, considered, in a statement here today, that the transitional political phase in Syria should start with the final departure of Bashar Assad, either by a political discharge or death. Speaking to reporters, Alloush said it is impossible to start with the presence of this regime or Assad as head of state. On the other hand, he explained that extending the two-weeklong truce, which was reached by a U.S. Russian arrangement under the auspices of the United Nations, is currently underway. He said the ceasefire was breached as many as 350 times within the past two weeks. Alloush is Syria for talks aiming to allow the Syrian opposition participate in a new round of negotiations under the supervision of the United Nations aiming to find a solution to the five-year Syrian struggle. --SPA 02:50 LOCAL TIME 23:50 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
