Jeddah,21 Rabi'II,1437 AH, 31 January,2016 , SPA -- Saudi Arabian Airlines Company for Air Transport has completed training of 282 airmen to work on the new aircraft Boeing (B787-9 ) Dreamliner, which will receive two of them this week from a total of 8 aircraft contracted to buy from Boeing Company and will be fully received between this and the next year. An intensive training program for the qualification of the hosts to work on the new aircraft in batches has been implemented where 60 hosts were first qualified in two phases : the first one at Boeing Academy for Aviation and Service in London, and the other one at Saudia Academy for Service in Jeddah, in addition to the qualification of 222 hosts and hostesses at Prince Sultan Academy of Aviation Science and Saudia Academy for Air Service. For his part, the Vice President for Air Service at Saudi Arabian Airlines Company for Air Transport Engineer Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasyiah pointed out that this program is an extension of the efforts of "Saudia" in the qualification of national cadres to meet the objectives of the transformation program and the strategic plan of the institution that gives priority to investment in human resources and gets ready for the next phase which will experience a large increase in the operating processes with the arrival of the new aircraft. -- SPA 11:46 LOCAL TIME 08:46 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
