UNITED NATIONS, Jumada I 20, 1437, February 29, 2016, SPA -- The European security organization is expressing deep concern at continuing cease-fire violations in eastern Ukraine and is urging the Russian and Ukrainian governments to live up to their commitments in the peace agreement they signed a year ago, according to AP. Addressing the U.N. Security Council as chair of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said implementing the agreement is the only way to a political solution in Ukraine. He said foreign ministers from Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine will meet in Paris Thursday to try to achieve progress on the security situation and a new electoral law for eastern Ukraine. The February 2015 agreement has helped reduce fighting in eastern Ukraine, but skirmishes have continued and there has been little progress toward a political settlement. --SPA 23:39 LOCAL TIME 20:39 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
