Beijing, Jumada I 28, 1437, Mar 8, 2016, SPA -- China's exports slumped 20.6 per cent year on year in February, while imports dropped 8 per cent, dpa cited official figures as showing Tuesday. The decline in exports widened significantly from a 6.6-per-cent decrease in January, the General Administration of Customs said. Total foreign trade dropped 15.7 per cent year on year to 1.43 trillion yuan (220 billion dollars) in February from a 9.8-per-cent contraction in the previous month. The decline in foreign trade come amid concerns about a further slowdown in China's economy. After decades of faster growth, GDP grew by 6.9 per cent in 2015, the slowest in more than a quarter of a century. The growth target for this year is at least 6.5 per cent. --SPA 17:13 LOCAL TIME 14:13 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
