RIO DE JANEIRO, Sha'ban 13, 1437, May 20, 2016, SPA -- Acting President Michel Temer of Brazil is promising that he will have women in his currently all white-male Cabinet, according to AP. Federal lawmaker Josi Nunes told journalists in Brasilia that Temer pledged at a meeting with female lawmakers Thursday that he will be bringing women into his government "a little further ahead." Nunes also said Temer denied there will be any setback in policies for women. The interim president has been under heavy criticism for not appointing women and members of racial minorities to any of the current 23 Cabinet positions. Legislator Mara Gabrilli blamed political parties for Temer not appointing any women to the Cabinet. Temer took office last week after President Dilma Rousseff was suspended for up to 180 days while the Senate holds an impeachment trial. --SPA 01:37 LOCAL TIME 22:37 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
