Colombo, Muharram 22, 1437, Nov 4, 2015, SPA -- The Maldives Wednesday declared a state of emergency for 30 days citing threats to national security, dpa reported. The state of emergency came into effect at 12 noon (0700 GMT), presidential spokesman Muaz Ali said.
