The Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Talks with his Egyptian Counterpart Cairo 2

He asserted that all parties want a united Syria for all sets, to live equally and free of any foreign forces, noting that that what we want for Syria, we want it to have security, stability and reconstruction for the Syrian people. Talks are going on now on how to implement such a perspective and these principles, on the ground of the reality, he said, pointing that we have achieved some progress due to approaching stances that aim to reach a solution for the Syrian crisis, but I cannot say that we have reach to an agreement, as we still need more consultations and more talks to get to that point, God will. On the Egyptian stance towards Syria, Al-Jubeir emphasized that the Egyptian stance is identical to the Saudi, adding that all of us want a transitional process, in Syria, and want to keep the civil as well as the military institutions, in Syria, as all of us want the Syrian people to realize its future. Regarding the Yemeni crisis, Al-Jubeir pointed to an accord by the Yemeni parties to hold talks to reach a peaceful solution based on the Gulf Sponsored Initiative, the outcomes of the Yemeni National Dialogue and the UN Security Council Resolution no. 2216, expressing hope that the talks will lead to a progress in the peaceful process, in Yemen, in order to move away from the stage of war and destruction to the stage of peace and reconstruction.
