Riyadh, Jumada I 13, 1437, February 22, 2016, SPA -- Minister of Water and Electricity Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein received at his office in Riyadh today visiting Chinese Water Resources deputy minister Tian Shiyoya Ben and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing and activating the cooperation agreed upon as per recommendations of the Saudi Chinese joint committee and got acquainted to the successful Saudi experiments in the management of groundwater. The Chinese deputy minister and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the contents of the home rationalization exhibition set up at the headquarters of water and electricity ministry. The Chinese delegation also toured Al-Wasee'a water project and met with officials of the National Water Company. The Chinese guests also visited the Water Desalination authority, including Al-Shaiba desalination station in Makkah Region, where the delegation was briefed on the Saudi experience in the water desalination field, citing the technologies and international prizes previously awarded to the company. --SPA 19:12 LOCAL TIME 16:12 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
