Riyadh, Rabi'II 05, 1437, January 15, 2016, SPA -- Saudi citizens and teachers Abdulrahman bin Maqbool Al-Sharari and Salem bin Misfer al-Ghamdi arrived back home this evening coming from the Republic of Djibouti. They arrived at King Khalid Airport International Riyadh accompanied by United Nations envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed and Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber and deputy United Nations envoy to Yemen Kenny Gluck. They were received by Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, a number of employees of the ministry and their families. It is worth mentioning that the two Saudi teachers were working in the Republic of the Comoros at a Muslim World League institute. On Thursday, 5 Jumada II 1436 H, they left King Abdul Aziz Airport in Jeddah to the city of Moroni via Sana'a. After transit arrival, flights were suspended due to start of Operation Determination Storm. They were hosted by United Nations Mission in the Movenpick Hotel in Sana'a where the headquarters of the United Nations mission. Then came a Houthi armed rebel group came, detained them and took them to an unknown location and remained hostages during the last period until they were handed to UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on 4 Rabi'II 1437 H.
