Cairo, Rabi'II 01, 1437, January 11, 2016, SPA -- Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has called for Arab stance supportive for decisions and measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for maintaining its security and stability. In his speech at the emergency meeting of the council of the Arab league at the level of foreign ministers held in Cairo on Sunday, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled said, "our gathering today comes as requested by Saudi Arabia, to discuss the aggression on the Kingdom's embassy in Tehran and the consulate in Mash-had." "This makes it inevitable for Arab countries to take the same stance, namely supporting Saudi decisions and measures, out of commitment to regional and international laws and charters, including the Arab League's," he added. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled noted that Kuwait, since the very beginning, affirmed support for the measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain its security and stability and to provide protection to its diplomatic missions overseas. He explained that the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry issued a statement that voiced strong denunciation and condemnation of the "hostile acts" committed by protesters against the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the consulate in Mash-had. The following day, the cabinet stressed, in a statement, Kuwait's unwavering stance, standing side by side with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as condemning the acts of sabotage that run against international laws and charters, he said. --More 03:53 LOCAL TIME 00:53 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
