Cairo, Rabi'I 30, 1437, Jan 10, 2016, SPA -- Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry stressed his country's stance in support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to face the Iranian interference in its internal affairs, urging Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Elaraby to express Arab stance towards Iran before the United Nations. In his speech before the closed session of the emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of Arab foreign ministers today, Shoukry confirmed Egypt's rejection of the threats to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia voiced by Iranian officials following the judicial rulings issued against Saudi nationals. He warned of conflict escalation if state sovereignty was not respected in accordance with the international law and if good neighborliness was not the basis for the stances of regional powers and policies, .
