Moscow, Shawwal 20, 1436, Aug 5, 2015, SPA -- Two intercity buses collided on a highway in far east Russia on Wednesday, killing 16 people and injuring more than 50, dpa quoted authorities as saying. One of the drivers had veered into oncoming traffic to pass roadwork, police said, adding that both drivers were sober. Ten of the injured are in critical condition, the Health Ministry said. Federal investigators said they were opening a criminal case into the operator of the bus that apparently caused the accident. The collision took place on a highway between the cities of Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Khabarovsk, about 150 kilometres from the border with China, according to the Investigative Committee's statement. -- SPA 17:42 LOCAL TIME 14:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
