United Nations, Muharram 04, 1437, October 17, 2015, SPA -- U.S. announced on Friday that it would ask UN Security Council to move quickly after it became clear that the ballistic missile test carried out by Iran in October 10 constitutes a "clear violation" of the UN resolution ban on ballistic missile tests. "Iran launched on Oct. 10 a medium-range ballistic missile. This was a clear violation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 1929," the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power said, in a statement. "The United States is preparing a report on the incident for the Security Council's Iran Sanctions Committee and will raise the matter directly with Security Council members "in the coming days," Power said. She pointed out that the US will push for an appropriate response to Iran's disregard of its international obligations after having this missile test. --SPA 00:40 LOCAL TIME 21:40 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
