Tropical Storm Kate passing east of the Bahamas

MIAMI, Muharram 28, 1437, November 10, 2015, SPA -- Tropical Storm Kate is passing east of the northwestern Bahamas, according to AP. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says that on Monday evening, the storm has strengthened slightly. Kate's maximum sustained winds are 50 mph (80 kph) with additional strengthening expected over the next two days. A tropical storm warning for the northwestern Bahamas has been discontinued. No coastal watches or warnings are currently in effect. The storm is centered about 70 miles (113 kilometers) east-northeast of Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas and is moving northwest at 15 mph (24 kph). It's expected to turn toward the north overnight.
