Valletta, Dhu-AlHijjah 20, 1436, Oct 4, 2015, SPA -- Twenty-one people were injured, three critically, after a display car veered off track during a charity event in Malta on Sunday, officials said. According to dpa, a 6-year-old girl and her mother are among the critical after the accident at the annual Paqpaqli ghal-Istrina fund-raising event in the Mediterranean island. Witnesses said the Porsche 918 Spyder supercar, steered by a professional driver, appeared to have lost control and headed straight into a section of the crowd. An eyewitness told Times of Malta: "The car was speeding down the taxiway when a back wheel veered onto the grass. The car spun out of control, crashed through the barriers where a large crowd was watching, and into the area of the static car exhibition. Many people were hit, there was chaos and screams." --SPA 20:53 LOCAL TIME 17:53 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
