Brussels, Dhu-AlHijjah 07, 1436, September 21, 2015, SPA -- The European Commission is hoping for quick action on bailout-related reforms following the elections in Greece, spokesman Margaritis Schinas says, according to dpa. "We hope that with a new government in place, ... we can go fast," he tells journalists in Brussels. "The commission ... stands ready to help. There is a lot of work ahead and no time to lose." "It was under the leadership of Alexis Tsipras that Greece already committed to an ambitious programme of reforms to redress the Greek economy," he adds. "The new government will now have the mandate to carry out these reforms." The commission - one of three institutions that represented Greece's creditors in bailout negotiations with Athens - is "particularly encouraged by the ample representation in the new Greek parliament of pro-European political parties," according to Schinas. --SPA 16:19 LOCAL TIME 13:19 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
