Munich, Shawwal 26, 1436, August 11, 2015, SPA -- A US military jet crashed in northern Bavaria on Tuesday, but its pilot escaped with the help of a rescue parachute, sustaining minor injuries, police said, according to dpa. The crash occurred at 9:30 am (0730 GMT) in a wooded area in the region of Creussen. The local fire brigade said it was monitoring the crash site because there was still a risk of explosion. Experts from the US military were expected to arrive at the site later in the day. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
