Bangkok, Ramadan 1, 1436, Jun 18, 2015, SPA -- Thailand's public health ministry on Thursday confirmed the country's first case of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). Lab results have confirmed the virus contracted by a 75-year-old man who came to Thailand to have his heart condition treated, Xinhua quoted Public Health Minister Rajata Rajatanavin as saying. The man is now being quarantined at an infectious diseases institute in central Nonthaburi province, according to Rajata.
