Jeddah, Jumada II 17, 1436, Apr 6, 2015, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad bin Ameen Madani, has called on all Iraqi factions to imbibe collective patriotism and sense of responsibility to confront the use of the fight against ISIS for the benefit of a particular denomination or group at the expense of other Iraqi segments, thereby exposing Iraq to the dangers of denominational and sectarian strife. The Secretary General underscored his support for the position of the Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abbadi who has directed all the Iraqi military to confront any destructive action carried out by gangs in Tikrit city as well as his call for the preservation of properties and installations in Salahdeen Province. Madani also appealed to the Iraqi eminent religious leaders, who enjoy the highest respect and consideration from all Iraqi parties, to call for the cessation of aggression and abuses, which undermine mutual coexistence and the spirit of citizenship among all constituents of the Iraqi people. --SPA 18:54 LOCAL TIME 15:54 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
