Cairo, Dhu-AlHijjah 18, 1435, Oct 12, 2014, SPA -- Germany's Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier said today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is playing a pivotal role to overcome crises engulfing the region. In a statement distributed by the German Media Center in Cairo, he added that hosting the recently-concluded Jeddah regional conference, which gathered for the first time key parties in the region at one table and joining the international coalition to combat ISIL, reflect a pioneering role in the region. He suggested that agreeing on a joint political strategy is a decisive matter in regard of the war against ISIL, and regardless of the military side of the story.
