After reviewing the system of Council of Ministers issued by the Royal Order No. (A / 13) dated on 03/03/1414 AH. After reviewing the system of Allegiance Pledge Commission issued by Royal Order No. A / 135 dated on 26/09/1427 AH. After reviewing article (3rd) of the Royal Order No. (A / 135) dated on 26/09/1427 AH. After reviewing article (4th) of the Royal Order No. (A / 86) dated on 05/26/1435 AH. And after reviewing the letter of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, dated on 10/07/1436AH containing that in pursuant of the approach established with my brother the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in the selection of the Deputy Crown Prince, and as this selection requires to give priority to the State's supreme interests over any other consideration, and as Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz is characterized by great capabilities which have become clear to everyone through all works and tasks entrusted to him, and he has been able to perform them in the optimal way, and as he enjoys the qualities qualifying him for this post, and he is able to assume heavy responsibilities required by this post, and upon what is necessitated by the achievement of Sharia objectives, including the transition of power and its smooth assumption in Sharia way by those who have the qualities stipulated in the basic statute, the Prince nominated Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to be Deputy Crown Prince. And after reviewing the support of the vast majority of members of Allegiance Pledge Commission for selecting him as Deputy Crown Prince. And upon what is necessitated by the public interest. We ordered the following : First: Selecting Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as Deputy Crown Prince and appointing him as Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and President of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.
