Beijing, Sha'ban 20, 1436, June 07, 2015, SPA -- Rescuers have recovered most of the bodies from a cruise ship that sank in the Yangtze River last week, Chinese state media reported Sunday, according to dpa. The death toll rose to 431 Sunday after investigators were able to finish their work once salvage workers using two large cranes righted the capsized vessel Friday, China Central Television reported. Rescuers did not find any more survivors inside. Fourteen people were rescued shortly after the June 1 accident, but hopes of finding more people alive have faded since, leaving a likely total death toll of 442. There are now 11 people unaccounted for, CCTV reported. --SPA 10:19 LOCAL TIME 07:19 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
