Rome, Sha'ban 18, 1436, Jun 5, 2015, SPA -- An Alitalia plane on the way to Milan was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after departure from Rome Fiumicino airport due to a collision with a bird, a company spokesman said Friday. According to dpa, the spokesman said the procedure was a standard safety precaution, and noted that it was not uncommon for birds to be caught up in airplane engines when they take off from airports near the sea, such as Fiumicino. The 88 passengers who were on board were disembarked and rerouted on another plane, he added. --SPA 14:05 LOCAL TIME 11:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
