Frankfurt, Rajab 1 1436, April 20, 2015, SPA -- Passenger train services in Germany will be hit by a strike this Wednesday and Thursday, the train drivers' union says. The strike will begin on Tuesday, but only for freight transport, with passenger services hit from the following day, the GDL train drivers' union said in a statement on Monday. The fresh strike follows the breakdown of talks over pay and conditions between the union and German state rail operator Deutsche Bahn. GDL chief Claus Weselsky said earlier that train drivers were tired of being "mocked" by Deutsche Bahn management and accused the firm of not really wanting to negotiate. "It is inevitable and unavoidable that the strikes will affect passenger transport," Weselsky told broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk. Deutsche Bahn has rejected the allegation. --SPA 20:59 LOCAL TIME 17:59 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
