Kingston, Jamaica, Jumada I 03, 1436, February 22, 2015, SPA -- Jamaican authorities have extradited a fugitive who was wanted for 14 years in the United States on drug charges, AP reported. In a late Saturday statement, the Jamaica Constabulary Force says Juel Dunn was extradited to Florida last week after his arrest in the island's mostly rural parish of St. Thomas by a fugitive apprehension squad. He faces charges of cocaine possession. Dunn waived his right to an extradition hearing at a court hearing in Jamaica's capital of Kingston. Assistant Police Commissioner Devon Watkis says the Caribbean country's force "will not relent on sending a clear message that transnational crimes" are a priority for local authorities. Earlier this month, Jamaica extradited its first lottery scam suspect to the U.S. about a decade after that transnational crime started flourishing on the island. -- SPA 23:16 LOCAL TIME 20:16 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
