Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 12, 1436, Sep 26, 2015, SPA -- The Interior Ministry's Security Spokesman said that at 06:00 P.M yesterday, on Friday, September 25, 2015 while a number of border guards patrol vehicles driving on the road along the borders of the Kingdom in Al-Harth sector in Jazan region, they struck a mine which exploded, resulting in the damage of a number of the patrol vehicles from which their users left. When they started to continue their duties by using the support patrol vehicles which arrived to transport them, they have been exposed to heavy fire from different locations inside Yemeni territory, so they initiated immediately to take protective positions and exchanged fire with hostile elements until they controlled the situation. The exchange of fire has resulted in the martyrdom of both the commander of border guards in Al-Harth sector, Colonel Dr / Hassan Ghashoum Aqili and the Deputy Sergeant / Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Hazazi, while four (4) members of their colleagues were wounded with minor injuries. --SPA 13:14 LOCAL TIME 10:14 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
