Jeddah, Shawwal 17, 1435, Aug 13, 2014, SPA -- An official source at Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) has denied news that one of SAUDIA's airliner was flying over Indian airspace on August 11, 2014 and was about to be collided by another Bangladesh passenger plane. In response to the news reported by a foreign website and quoted by other websites on an imminent collision of a Bangladeshi airliner with A SAUDIA's one over Indian airspace last Monday, the official source explained that the plane on question wasn't a SAUDIA's airliner but just a cargo plane owned and operated by an Icelandic company. He said that when the Bangladeshi passenger plane approaching the cargo plane, the automated remote control activated automatically to alert the pilot of the plane, indicating that the case happened due to mistaken instructions received by the Bangladeshi plane's pilot from the control tower at Indian Syracuse Hancock Airport, but the air navigation devices immediately interacted to avoid that mistake and the pilot rushed to follow the indicative aircraft systems assigned to these cases. SAUDIA official source pointed out that the plane chartered by Saudi Airlines Cargo, continued peacefully its route to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. --SPA 12:22 LOCAL TIME 09:22 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
