Kuala Lumpur, Shawwal 18, 1435, Aug 14, 2014, SPA -- Malaysia on Thursday declared August 22 a national day of mourning for the victims of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which was downed in eastern Ukraine last month, dpa cited a senior official as saying. Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the remains of 15 Malaysians who had been on board the jetliner when it crashed and were identified by forensics experts would be arriving in the country on that day. Muhyiddin said experts conducting DNA tests in the Netherlands have identified 24 of the 43 Malaysian nationals who were on board the flight when it was downed. MH17, with 298 people aboard, was on its way to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam when it crashed over Ukraine after it was suspected to have been shot down by a missile on July 17. --SPA 16:45 LOCAL TIME 13:45 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
