United Nations, Ramadan 24, 1435, Jul 21, 2014, SPA -- The U.N. agency assisting Palestinian refugees issued an emergency appeal on Monday for $60 million to respond to urgent humanitarian needs of the people in Gaza. The U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the near east (UNRWA) reported that the number of Palestinian refugees who have fled the current Israeli military offensive exceeds 84,000. The International Humanitarian City (IHC) aid agency from Dubai sent an airplane carrying 45,000 mattresses, 10,000 blankets, and 220 hygiene kits to displaced families in Gaza.
