Chilean earthquake causes no major damage, injuries

HACIENDA LA CALERA, Chile, Shawwal 28, 1435, Aug 24, 2014, SPA -- A 6.4-magnitude earthquake rattled the coast of Chile Saturday afternoon, cutting power supplies but causing no significant damage, UPI reported. There were no injuries reported by the temblor, which was situated about 67 miles northwest of the capital of Santiago. The epicenter, at a depth of 21.7 miles, was 11 miles west-northwest of Hacienda La Calera and 14 miles north-northwest of Quillota, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
