Belgrade, Shawwal 15, 1435, Aug 11, 2014, SPA -- Kosovo police said on Monday they had arrested 40 people suspected of fighting with extremist militant groups in Syria, dpa reported. The raids at 60 locations followed months of investigation, police said. The suspects are believed to have links with the Islamic State (Daash) and Al-Nusra organizations, it added. Police also seized explosives, ammunition and weapons. Local media said at least 16 citizens of Kosovo were killed while fighting in Syria and Iraq.
